) + shooting DIY video tutorials.3 different presser feet including walking foot and ball point needles and it still gets stuck in machine feed dogs and jams. There are a lot of reviews that state there are problems with the tension on this machine, and yes, I am finding that to be an issue.I was in love with this machine.I bought a cheap $80 brother at Walmart and it was terrible.I loved it.At first I loved it, so quiet, easy to use, very user friendly.I love my Brother CS6000i.This is my first machine. It offers nearly 60 decorative stitches. The reviews of this machine and not wanting to purchase a high end machine since I wasn’t sure how my new adventure was going to go led me to buy this sewing machine.I have never written a review before although I rely heavily on them and base my purchases on them.I was unsure I would like an electronic machine, had learned many years ago on a treadle machine, mom’s Westinghouse and later her White machine that I inherited and let go of .I ended up taking it back after a week.Initially I went with the XL2600i but quickly canceled my order after placing the order.I love this machine. So after quite a few intensive projects I have to say I really like this machine! I did read the whole instruction manual and have followed it without any problems.I cant sleep without sewing..I had been borrowing a friend’s older Kenmore 385, which I really liked, and this machine is easily as capable as that one.

I’ve never sewn before and this machine seemed like a good beginner machine that would do a lot without costing a fortune.5" long "buttonhole" to my dog’s winter vest to thread his harness’s webbing and leash ring through .I am self taught on a machine from the 60s.After contacting Brother via email and phone, the problem was still not resolved.I got it to replace a Singer heavy-duty which I ordered a few weeks ago and just did not like – it was not fun to use and not very user-friendly, also the gray color was surprisingly depressing to look at.Anything larger and it, and you, will struggle simply due to the size of the throat space. If I take to someone to have fixed it will cost more than what I paid for the machine so I am junking it and buying a Janome MOD-19.I had no real problems with it until the past few months.I should I spent more on a sewing machine… Trying to making some Christmas gifts and I’m about to throw this thing out the windowI was just looking for a lightweight, straight stitch machine for less than $150.There may be a slight learning curve if you’re used to sewing on vintage machines like I am, but in spite of that I was up and running quickly after reading the manual. While I love the automatic selection guide and speed control, this machine struggles to go thru thick layers that my old machine has no problem doing. If the problem with the sewing machine isn’t something that’s covered under the warranty, you’re paying a repair shop over $100 to fix it which isn’t worth it considering the cost of the machine. This machine has worked very well.I have taken long breaks from sewing in this time period due to time constraints but have been using it more lately. The first pair I made was 12.If you’re intermediate or advanced, you’ll probably want something better. But for sewing and quilting, it’s ok until you get the dreaded E6 error. This machine has many features, yet has been so easy for me as a beginner to use.I think ‘ll be fine now and explore all the things this lightweight machine can do.

Great for beginners, easy to use and set up.The minute I started using it, I could tell the quality difference versus my older machines.Machine makes it easy to explore different sewing techniques which is great for a beginner.I’m a basic sewer so I wanted some advanced options to let my capabilities grow but I didn’t want to spend a fortune. It has so many features that are mostly available on machines that cost much more.Well! To my surprise and delight she looked on YouTube and figured it out herself real quick. It was making weird sounds, and I decided it wasn’t worth trying to get it fixed. It doesn’t take long to get to know it..I never would have imagined I would make so many pretty things. It has been perfect for sewing quilts, dresses, project bags, pillowcases, etc. However within sixty days after delivery it simply froze up.So far she has made a couple table runners,a stuffed animal, some quilt blocks and a stocking.I sent the 2nd Brother back and I chose a Singer,SINGER 8060 600-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine with Extension Table, Bonus Accessories and Hard Coverit’s pricier, but better made and easy to use, the Brother CS6000i is easy too, but it has too many problems with needles breaking, thread snapping, bobbin breakage, I just gave up with this machine.I mostly do garment construction and this machine is awesome for that purpose.and decided to join a quilting club and need a new machine….I had taken a break from sewing when my kids were young and wanted to update now that my first grandchild is coming and I have quilts, etc planned. So far I love this machine.I read the manual, then watched two youtube videos on the threader. The kids love the variety of stitches and getting to thread the machine themselves, and the moms love the kid-friendly speed control.
