It is quiet, the fabric, heavy or light moves nicely through the feed and the threading is not too bad.One criticism is that it is too lightweight, but even if you plan on punching the buttons extra-hard, this machine is not going anywhere.I have no intention of using it for any other sewing. The designers share these machines and it can sew basically any type of material. It has been less than a year and it is malfunctioning and the stitching keeps getting tangled/jammed in the machine. The top-loading bobbin is awesome and I really love having the long table attachment! I received this along with the Brother 5300 Universal Sewing Machine Carrying Case and the machine, long table attachment and all accessories fit perfectly in it.I’m sure that a seasoned seamstress can review this item far better than I can, but if you’re new to sewing, maybe this will help you.About to return itThe machine should be touch screen instead of push button.Stitches are even with all applications.Wow, what a difference! The stitching is so smooth and the machine is much quieter than my basic Brother model. The machine is easy to use and I love having all of the different stitches to choose from…even though I really only use a small handful of them! It is easy to switch the "feet" of the machine and I appreciate how the machine came with all of the different feet and accessories.I LOVE the large work area which is one of the main reasons I was attracted to this machine. When I first got my project runway I was not for sure how I felt about it.If you are looking for a great and very user friendly machine look no further.I have 3 wonderful machines in storage in another state and needed something that would work and not cost an arm and leg.I have already made to projects and if you use you make sure to read the instructions.I love the extra choice of stitches I didn’t have on my Brother CS6000i.

Light and well made.Very well worth the money.so far so good I would definitely recommend I also love the light so much easier to sew with , I will need a new cabinet as it is higher than my old one an will not fit but for now working well to sit on top, gets me very close to my work, very easy to lift I have arthritis an it seems to be a blessing for me so far.She had never used a sewing machine before; she only sewed things by hand and she really likes this machine. This is a very easy to use machine. The shipment from Amazon was amazingly quick as well. This machine sews just like my $6,000.I’m enjoying it.I have to admit there are way more stiches than I need.So easy to use.It is lightweight which makes setting up my sewing station quick and easy.I used the extended table all the time.I love all the features this machine has to offer and they are easy to use for a ‘newby’ like me.It is pretty easy to use.I needed a second machine so I wouldn’t have to remove my primary sewing machine from its cabinet each month. It’s quieter then the ones I’ve had in the past.great customer support with all your questions as well as free videos on how to use the machine in many projects.

I hadn’t stitched a thing since high school home-ec..This model does sound better mechanically.Smooth sewing and variaty of stitches. After two returns of the former brother machines, this is a breath of fresh air. There were no pieces in the bag so when they packaged it they put the broken bobbins in the little accessories bag that way.It has all the features you would expect from a much more expensive machine.I should have read about the features better.Since I’m a novice sewer, I can only recommend it as a beginning machine. This machine is easy to use and even a beginner can use it.The last sewing machine I owned was Singer, I ended up spending an hour every time I would start a project between the bobbin, threading the machine, setting the adjustments, but with my Brother Project Runway, I set down to start a project and start it, really with the drop in bobbin, you simply drop it in and pull the thread through and close the cover, how easy was that? simply easy to use features, I now create button holes, I can even sew on the buttons with it! Not like my Singer when they tell you that you can do it, and never could understand how, to simply attach the special pressure foot, put the button on the back of the pressure foot, and push the setting and press the pedal and wait, it automatically stops and back stitches, and how nice to automatically drop the needle down each time you stop, so you never loose your place while sewing.metal) than more high-quality machines, but I have zero complaints since I have started using it.Does a great job and built to last!Good product strongly recommendI’m not the seamstress in this house.
